2004 Olympics triathlon silver medalist Bevan Docherty of New Zealand lives up to his motto of "He who wants it most wins!" Here, he sprints from behind to clutch victory from the grasp of compatriot Kris Gemmell at the 2005 New Plymouth ITU World Cup triathlon.
I was so pumped after watching this clip that I had to go for a run. Some day I'll be passing suckers like that on the course. Ha Ha

That was pretty amazing. Are we he was on fire! Too bad he got passed the last 3 seconds of the race. I actually got goose bumps watching that. Sadly, I would have been puking blood after the first 200 feet. I HATE TO RUN even though it has always looked fun when I watch other people do it (except when their muscles start to break down in the middle of a race and it looks like they are going to die).
I am pumped for the Tour! I think we are actually going to go watch a little bit of the Tour of California in February. Hip hip!
Are we he was on fire? Wha? I think I had two thoughts processing at once. How about HIS FEET WERE ON FIRE. That works a little better.
I didn't know Kevin was into the road biking scene. That should be a fun race to see in person. Next time you guys head down I'd like to plan on riding with your hubby...road or mtn.
He mostly rides road. He started out with mountain biking and then moved into road. He does more mountain when the weather gets a little cooler, sounds opposite, I know!
They do centuries all the time in the summer. You should sign up with them some time.
You also need to come up here in the summer and go with them to Snow Basin. They love riding the gondolas up and riding the bikes down. They have a blast doing it, and you would LOVE his friend John. This guy has crazy skills, road and mountain.
I'm up for an SLC trip anytime. I miss Utah tons for all the outdoor stuff.
Come! You guys have plenty of places to stay! We have room and so do my parents. Late spring is so awesome. I can't wait for it!
